about
“I wrote this song while living in a new city, trying to process the feelings that came with that. Along with excitement, there was isolation, and the challenge to be open to new people and opportunities. I was also processing the loss of some important people in my life, so it was a very transformative period.”
Thank you for listening!

lyrics
Big Red Sun (by Seth Anderson)
Well I set out to find that big red sun
Burns for itself, not for no one
Won’t need no love, won’t need no songs
Won’t feel no pain, nothing at all
I get by by the skin of my teeth
Won’t let them in beyond arms reach
‘Cause this hearts gone black, it once felt free
Once felt I could do anything
But time will break the brightest souls
We’ve seen it all but still won’t know
How fast the hours will turn to days
Looking to you to ease this pain
I got caught in the blistering heat
It came and swept me off my feet
I braced my legs, it shook my knees
I felt so small, I felt relief
But time will break the brightest souls
We’ve seen it all but still won’t know
How fast the hours will turn to days
Looking to you to ease this pain
Back on the run, I’ve seen the end
It came before I could say when
I’ll try to change, just can’t pretend
The one I am, from where I’ve been
But time will break the brightest souls
We’ve seen it all but still won’t know
How fast the hours will turn to days
Looking to you to ease this pain
But time will break the brightest souls
We’ve seen it all but still won’t know
How fast the hours will turn to days
Looking to you to ease this pain

That album felt like coming home after a long time away but still being proud of everything I'd seen while I was gone. One minute and twenty seven seconds into "Kenver" feels like the culmination of everything I've loved about this band since I was a kid. It feels like the best parts of freedom I've felt on the best nights of my life. Scott
